Cabernet Sauvignon wine

Cabernet Sauvignon is undoubtedly one of the most famous and popular red wines in the world. In Europe, Asia, USA and South America it is served at both lunch and dinner, at family meals and on special occasions. Cabernet Sauvignon is made from the grape variety of the same name. This variety is unsusceptible to dry soils, temperature drops, night frosts, heat and periods of drought. The grape is also practically immune to the gray rot infection and has a unique taste which is unequalled. Grapes can also be harvested with the help of machinery, which allows cost-cutting, making the finished product more affordable.

Well-known for its winemaking traditions, the Bordeaux province in France is the homeland of the Cabernet sauvignon grape. However, today it is actively cultivated in regions of Italy, California (USA), Australia, and Latin America.

The Cabernet Sauvignon grape is used to create different variations of wine: elite, vintage, dry and semi-dry. These are all affordable and have distinct and delicious flavours. This wine is also often used in blending — it gives specific flavour notes, a pleasant colour, tartness, and enriches the wine with tannins.

Cabernet Sauvignon wine is perfectly paired with game, steaks, cheeses, meat from the delicatessen, and pasta. It can be served to accompany both a light snack and fine French or Italian three course dinners. The main thing to consider when drinking this wine is to allow some time once you have opened the bottle- never pour it into glasses immediately. This allows the flavours to settle and reach their full potential.
