Mescal can be consumed in its pure form. Also on the basis of mescal are made cocktails (with ginger ale, apple or grapefruit soda, pineapple juice or passion fruit juice).
Interesting Facts
"Zignum" Reposado is an original Mexican Premium Class mezcal made by distilling the fermented Espava agave juice and aged for 9 months in new American white oak barrels. The word "mezcal" comes from the language of the Nauatl Indians: "melt" means "agave", and "ixcalli" means "cooking." Thus, mescal means "cooked agave." The aged mezcal "Zignum" Reposado has high quality and demonstrates all the uniqueness and purity of the taste of green agave.
Mescal Zignum Reposado won gold medals at the San Francisco Spirit Award in 2015 and 2016, received a gold medal from the Beverage Tasting Institute in 2010.
