Wine Vina Garces Silva Limitada, "Amayna" Sauvignon Blanc, 2017

"Amayna" Sauvignon Blanc - excellent dry white wine, which is made ​​from a grape variety Sauvignon Blanc. Vintage 2012 was assembled by hand in 10-kg boxes and passed the double selection: in the vineyard and in the winery. Fermentation lasted 10 days and took place in stainless steel tanks at a temperature of 17-19 ° C, followed by about two months defended wine on the lees. The wine has good potential storage for three years.

Family Silva Gares long been involved in agriculture, livestock and viticulture, in the production of various beverages, as well as in the area of finance and real estate market. The winery that bears the name of their ancestor, was founded by José Antonio Garces Silva, who acquired property in the Valley of Leyda, in San Antonio, thus becoming one of the pioneers in the development of the wine-growing region.

Leyda Valley is located between the coastal ranges and the Pacific Ocean and runs parallel to the Central Valley of Chile. Her gentle coastal hills are characterized by poor soils and very dry climate. Grapes for wine production is going to own plantations. Area of ​​crops, which are planted grapes in 1999, is 37 hectares. It is mostly grown four varieties - Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Syrah and Pinot Noir, as well as a small amount of Gewurztraminer. The plant's capacity is 285 thousand liters of stainless steel tanks and 120,000 liters of French oak barrels. On average, produces about 15,000 bottles of wine per year.
