Vie di Romans Chardonnay - title wine estates. Wine is made from grapes from a single cru (6.7 ha), located in the deeper soils with moderate content of gravel, reddish color due to the presence of oxides of iron and aluminum. Microclimate differs slightly higher average temperatures and little difference between night and day temperatures. The grapes are harvested in September and subjected to careful pressing. Before fermentation is carried out at a temperature of 8C maceration for 6 hours. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel containers for 18-24 days at temperatures of 16-19C, followed by malolactic fermentation. The wine aged for 8 months on the lees in French barriques (40% - a new, 35% - one-year, 25% - two-year) and 10 months in bottles. Wine storage capacity - 15 years. Decant before serving is not recommended.

Vie di Romans - one of the farms in Friuli, the most respected wine critics. For more than a century, it is controlled by the family of Gallo.
The name of the company Vie di Romans («Way of the Romans") captures the historical fact: where is now located wineries Gallo family, once a road connecting Rome and the port city of Aquileia. Vie di Romans - Italian estate, which decided to reach the level of the great white Burgundy. The current owner of the winery Gianfranco Gallo got his business inherited from his father in the 70s of the last century, while still a teenager.
