Tasting Notes


Wine bright yellow color with greenish hues.


The wine has a rich creamy taste with a refreshing sweet stone fruit, fine texture, good intensity, hints of French oak, fresh natural acidity, long and refreshing aftertaste.


The aroma of wine is filled with tones of white peach, nectarine, nuances of clove, spicy oak and vanilla.


The wine goes well with fish and seafood - especially with sauteed scallops at a sharp coconut sauce with curry.

Wine "The 12th Man Adelaide Hills Chardonnay" is a collection of wines RGT, dedicated to the great visionary and innovator - winemaker Greg Trott. Each wine of this collection - a tribute, a kind of label life Trotta, each represents one of the great ideas of the great man.
Greg Trott considered a game of cricket one of the noble competition and training. In his youth, he even made his parents on the farm golf and trained on it. Young Trott that carry on the field in uniform cap player tray with drinks, was itself not the seller, and the 12th player - in cricket is the player who replaces an injured team member. Cricket was his true passion. Today, in memory of this Chardonnay from selected using only natural natural yeast created great wine "The 12th Man", matured in the finest French barrels. The company was founded Wirra Wirra Strengveyzom Robert Wigley in 1894. At age 30, his parents, whom he gives a lot of anxiety eccentricities sent him away in the Australian outback, where the vigorous energy of Robert found, at last, a useful application. It was in 1894, he broke the vineyards in McLaren Vale, ambush them excellent vines, built a winery and in 1987 made his first wine. Today, the company owns 100 hectares of vineyards, not only in McLaren Vale, but in the Clare Valley, Coonawarra and Adelaide Hills, making its wines a variety of styles. Mediterranean climate and diversity of soil region provides the unique ability to produce a rich, complex and long-lived wines from classic grape varieties, the most famous of which is Shiraz.
