Solayya Tuscany - one of the top wines of Antinori, first released in 1978 and belonging to the so-called elite "supertoskantsam" - wines from Bordeaux grape varieties grown in sunny Tuscany. Solaia means "sun," "warmed by the sun." The name of the drink was named after the eponymous vineyard, which is located near the town of Mercatale Val di Pesa. This wine was produced during the Italian Renaissance wine (1970-1980 years), together with oenologist Giacomo Takis.

The climate in 2004 was remembered by heavy rains and cold temperatures. All this gave rise to delay harvesting for 2 weeks. Also been changed several production technology.
