Tasting Notes
The wine is dark in color, tending to purple.
The taste of the wine quite intense, persistent, dense, with a velvety texture and developing tannins. Over the years, the wine becomes more harmonious and complex.
Intense aroma of wine combines red fruit and cassis with woody undertones.
The wine will be a good accompaniment of game dishes and red meat, pasta and cheese.
Interesting Facts
The origin dates back to 1664 Chateau Divonne year. It is located 4 km north of Saint-Emilion, appellasone in Saint-Georges-Saint-Emilion. Since the XIX century Chateau belongs to the family Andrieu and transmitted from generation to generation with respect to the existing tradition for years. Red wine "Chateau Divon", designed with passion and determination oenologist Damien Andrieu, expresses the richness and expressiveness Merlot grown in the exceptional terroir of Saint-Georges-Saint-Emilion. Age of vines is 35 years or more. It harvested mechanically and is carefully sorted. Traditional vinification in vats at controlled temperatures, depending on the harvest ends long maceration. Aged in oak barrels takes 12 months.
Sichel company was founded in 1883 when the family moved to Sishel Bordeaux, and decided to take her head negotsiantskim business (before the family traveled a lot around Europe). Great-grandson of the founder, the Englishman Peter Sishel arrived in Bordeaux in 1960, and 12 years later, in 1972, was elected President of the Association of Wine Merchants Bordeaux. Finally, Peter is based in Bordeaux after meeting with his wife Diane. One of the important achievements of Peter was the restoration of the old estates in Margaux - Chateau d'Angludet, acquired in 1961. In addition, he was a major shareholder of Chateau Palmer, in which in 1938 were made significant investments of his father - Alan Sishelem and three other families. Peter gained fame as one of the most respected people in Bordeaux; in fact, he was one of the first wine merchant, who became the winemaker. Now the name of Peter Sishelya known around the world, primarily because of its strategy of combining tradition and modern technology.
