Winery Ronco del Gnemiz located in the Italian province of Friuli-Venezia Giulia. The word "Ronco" in the title is translated from the local dialect means - "a vineyard on a hill" and the word "Gnemiz" - is the name of a family that for centuries lived in this place and in winemaking. Mild and humid climate of the region, the close proximity of the mountains and the sea - all of these conditions are most favorable impact on the quality of grapes grown here - Pinot Grigio, Pinot Bianco, Tokai Friuliano, Sauvignon and Chardonnay.
In the early 1960s, the family bought the land Palazzolo, which did not change the old name, while respecting tradition. In 1964, Enzo Palazzolo (Enzo Palazzolo) built a new winery. And in 1981 the management was taken over by his daughter - Serena. With the help of talented oenologist Roberto Cipressa (Roberto Cipresso) and Andrea Pittana (Andrea Pittana) it scrupulously controls all stages of wine production, from the work in the vineyards, which uses only organic methods, to bottling the wine.
With such a well-functioning and dedication wine estates Ronco del Gnemiz gradually extend beyond the Friuli and conquered the international market. On this farm winery produces outstanding white wines, having classification Colli Orientali del Friuli DOC.
