In 1971, Robert becomes a stone cottage dating from 1850 and the surrounding 5 acres of land in the village Krondorf, in the heart of the Barossa Valley. When in the 1970s, other wineries began to improve and upgrade equipment, Robert restored historic winemaking machinery and began to produce wines using traditional equipment and technology.
