Interesting Facts
Cult Spanish wine "L'Ermita" is made from selected grapes Garnacha collected from vines whose age is between 65 and 100 years. These vines give no more than 3-4 clusters, and the total yield is not more than 16 hl per hectare. In the production process "L'Ermita" conducted a complete destemming and soft pressing of grapes. Maceration and fermentation in oak barrels with regular pizhazhem are made using natural yeast. Conducted malolactic fermentation and aging for 18 months in new oak barriques. Alvaro Palacios (Alvaro Palacios) - comes from a prestigious family of wine from Rioja, which could easily occupy a major position in the world-famous family winery - Palacios Remondo. However, he decided to go his own way. Alvaro studied oenology in Bordeaux and had the enviable job in the famous winemaker Jean-Pierre Mueksa in Pétrus.
