Color

The wine is pale straw color with light greenish reflections.

Taste

The wine has a juicy, fruity, well-balanced taste, with a pleasant acidity and minerality. The finish is long, expressive, with hints of almond.

Interesting Facts

"Blanc di Buri" - a pleasant dry white wine from the Italian manufacturer Meroi Davino, which is a blend of 3 grapes: Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Friulano. The grapes for making wine is grown on the eastern slopes of the Friuli-Venezia Giulia, in the municipality of Buttrio. Vineyards are farms south and south-east exposure and the height above sea level is 120 meters. Agricultural practices exclusively organic without the use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides and herbicides. Soil composition (a combination of limestone, marl and sandstone) suitable for growing Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc, as it has similarities with the soil of France, where I came from these grapes. In the vineyards supported by a very low yield (average of 25 hl per hectare), allows to obtain high quality grapes. The berries are harvested by hand into wooden boxes in early September. After pressing, decanting is carried wort during the day. Fermentation of wine takes place in oak barrels at a controlled temperature. Maturing wine lasts for 10 months in French oak barrels filling secondary. Before bottling the wine is held light filtering that delivers expressiveness and purity of the beverage.

Producer's description

Meroi Davino - a family business located in the heart of the wine region of Friuli Colli Orentali, in the municipality of Boutroux. At the end of the 1980s, the third generation winemaker Paolo Measure inherited the estate from his father and, together with his son, Damiano continued production of wine. Products winery has long won popularity among connoisseurs and experts, due to the high quality and unique style. Paolo Measure not only produces wine, but with his wife working in their own restaurant "Al Parco", located in the center of Boutroux. This well-known restaurant in the north-eastern part of Italy and Paolo are implementing major part (80%) produced by beverage. The remaining wine is sold to private collectors in Europe and the US. Annual production of wine is very small - only 30,000 bottles.

Measure family owns 35 hectares of vineyards, grown on the picturesque slopes of Friuli, of which 12 hectares - are areas where crops are already used in the manufacture of wine, and the rest - are areas where crops are grown younger in the future. Historical region of Friuli - a wonderful place that is as Côte de Beaune in France, is capable of producing world-class wines. It was here, according to many wine producers have formed the best climate in the region, characterized by warm days with cool, refreshing breezes and cool nights. The soil under the vines is made of sandstone, limestone and marl, with an admixture of iron and volcanic elements. There winemakers farms cultivated red grape varieties - Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Refosco, as well as white varieties are grown - Friulano, Picolit, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc. The special composition of the soil influences the characteristics of the wine, since vines are forced to form an extensive root system to search for water in the mineral layers. In his daily work Paolo Measure consults with oenologist Mirko Dehghani, as well as with its neighbor and best friend - known winemaker Enzo Pontoni of Miani economy, achieving excellent results through joint efforts.

One soldier accidentally made a hole in the wall with a rifle butt, but did not bother to look at him, so that the wine remained intact. Now Paolo dedicates its most complex red wines grandfather, calling them in his honor "Dominin". Also, the winery produced intense white wines Sauvignon Blanc, Tokay Friulano, Pinot Bianco and Chardonnay.
