The wine has an elegant, quite intense and slightly spicy taste with tones of white stone fruit (peach, apricot) and light mineral tint.
In a complex, rich aroma is dominated by shades of ripe apple and dried fruits.
The wine goes well with white stew, veal, risotto or pasta with meat sauce and mature cheeses.
"Defame" - this is a great wine, made in the "Slovenian style." Terrific taste and aroma is able to give pleasure and to learn the traditions of land decried, in whose honor and named this wine. The grapes from which created "Oslavje", grows in the vineyards located at an altitude of 200 meters above sea level and with the southern and south-eastern exposure. The average age of the vines - 20-30 years. After hand-picking berries with the skins are placed in small oak barrels, where the alcoholic fermentation process without temperature control, which lasts about 30 days - until then, until exhausted reserves of natural sugar in the grapes. As long maceration lasts, must stirred 3-4 times a day. Spinning is carried out very carefully. Then the wine is aged for 3 years in large oak casks Slovenian (25 and 35 hectoliters) and then bottled without filtration and clarification. In the bottle it stand for at least another year. In wine there are the remains of sulfur, which is formed by natural fermentation of berries during alcoholic fermentation. This wine is perfectly preserved and developed for 15 years.
Radikon winery is located in the Italian province of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, in defames, which is located in the northeast of Italy, on the border with the Republic of Slovenia.
The owner of the estate since 1980 is Stanko Radikon. In this work he helped his wife Suzanne and son Sasha, who is a graduate, winner of the contest of young winemakers and oenologists Italy. In their family speak Slovenian and Italian, and the wines are created in the "Slovenian" style.
