Tasting Notes
The wine is light golden color.
The taste of wine is rounded, fresh, ripe, deep, with beautiful shades of melon, pear, candied apples, smooth texture and mineral notes in the long aftertaste.
Clean scent of wine includes shades of apple and pear, accented tones of minerals, white flowers and sea notes.
The wine goes well with seafood, mussels, crustaceans, paella, pizza with seafood, fish cooked on the grill.
Interesting Facts
French winemaker Michel Redd, born in 1930, chose the profession of winemaker is not by chance, he just walked in the footsteps of their ancestors, who continued the matter is before the privilege of monks (hence the name of the vineyards and the "La Moynerie"). In the early 1950s, thanks to the perseverance and hard work, Michel and his wife Simone was able to expand the family estate, increasing the area of vineyards. In 1977, their son Thierry Redd joined his parents, adding to the technology with new ideas and thoughts, and 20 years later, in 1997, who took control of the estate entirely in their own hands. Today the area of the estate of almost 40 acres, located in the heart of the Pouilly-on-Loire. La Muaneri vineyards lie on the gentle slope above the river Loire. Local limestone-clay soils provide rich, harmonious and elegant wine with spicy tones of the presence of silicon in the soil, as well as the roundness of flavor and stability created by limestone soils. Depending on the vintage, the wine of the estate are able to develop as a mininum of 4-6 years.
