Interesting Facts
"La Peyriere", Entre-deux-Mers AOC is an elegant white dry wine made from Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon and Myskadel grapes grown in the company's vineyards in the Entre-de-Mer subzone. The Entre-Deux-Mers zone covers 1,500 hectares between the Dordogne and Garonne rivers and produces about 88,000 hl per year of dry white wine. Vineyards are planted on high ground, where numerous streams wash the slopes and bring layers of sand, gravel and clay. The main advantage of La Perier is a diverse and mineral-rich soil. The harvest is collected mechanically and delivered to the winery. Combs are separated and the berries are crushed. This is followed by maceration and pressing. Fermentation of the wort takes place at a controlled temperature using cultured yeast. Half of the wine is aged on fine lees in American oak barrels for 3-4 months, and the remaining half of the wine is aged in stainless steel tanks.
