Color
Wine beautiful straw-yellow color with a greenish tint.
Taste
The wine has a rich, light and rounded taste, with bright tones of white and yellow stone fruit, excellent depth and balanced acidity with lemon nuance, texture and different shades of white flowers in the aftertaste.
Aroma
Classic aroma of the wine reveals notes of green fruits and seashells in combination with mineral intonations.
Gastronomy
The wine will go well with seafood, lobster, steamed white fish, salmon and soft cheeses.
Interesting Facts
Chablis AOC, 2011 from wine house Jean-Paul & Benoit Droin - dry white wine of excellent quality with excellent refreshing acidity, balance and fabulous classic aroma. Grapes before pressing gently handled. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel containers at controlled temperatures. The wine is aged in oak barrels for about a year and is ready for use immediately after bottling. According to Robert Parker, Jean-Paul and Benoit Drouhin is one of the best producers in Chablis. The wine is perfect to drink now and 2019.
Family Droin is one of the oldest in Chablis, for almost five centuries, members of this family are dedicated to winemaking. Starting from 1620, fourteen generations of winemakers bring their know-how in the family business and to transfer knowledge from father to son. May 6, 1866 Emperor Napoleon III visited Auxerre, Yonne department center, and a certain Edme Jean Baptiste Droit presented to the Emperor a few bottles of his wine. In gratitude, the Emperor gave him a silver goblet for wine tasting with the coat of arms engraved on it the empire. This heirloom and still passed down from generation to generation, the eldest son. Today, Jean-Paul and Benoit are the only carriers surname Droit. Jean-Paul Droit joined for the family business in 1965 and studied winemaking from his grandfather and father Marcel Paul before in 1983 he began to administer the winery with the help of his wife Catherine. His youngest son Benoit received a diploma at the University of Dijon enologist and in Bonn, responsible for winemaking processes for over 10 years. The family has an impressive heritage, which consists in including the best bonuses and vineyards in Chablis Grand Cru (Valmur, Vaudésir, Les Clos, Vaillons, Montmains), covering an area of 25 hectares. In 1999 he built a new winery in the bottom of the Grand Cru, which allowed to upgrade all stages of the winemaking process.
