"Il Caberlot" - first and foremost wine farm Podere Il Carnasciale - has according to wine expert Wine Spectator "unreal beautiful" exquisite taste with excellent structure, the finest polished tannins and long finish impeccable. The wine is made from a unique and mysterious clone grapes discovered four decades ago in an abandoned vineyard near Padua. The clone was named Kaberle because grapes and has the characteristics of Cabernet and Merlot. This rare clones were grown in only one place wineries Ile Karnashale - on the rocky south bank of the River Arno Tuscany.
With the first harvest in 1988 "Il Kaberle" has become a real cult wine in Europe, including what contributes to its deficit due to the small size of the vineyard area of less than an acre and a limited yield. Over time, the number of planted vines has increased, but the production is still low. The wine is aged in oak barrels for 22 months, bottled by hand, and then maintained for a further two years in the cellars. Mistress of the winery - Bettina Rogoski - personally labels labels, the color of which changes every year. The wine has excellent potential for storage, vintage 2008 will be at the peak of ripeness in the period from 2012 to 2029.

Winery Podere Il Carnasciale located in the southern part of the Chianti hills, in the town of Valdarno, near Siena and Arezzo, sixty kilometers south of Florence. This small estate was created by Wolf and Bettina Rogoski. Today it is run by Bettina and her son Maurice, in collaboration with the oenologist Peter Schilling. In 1985, after a heavy frost that ruined the magnificent olive groves family Rogoski, Wolf decided to take the cultivation of rare clone grapes - Kaberle, which is a natural hybrid of Cabernet and Merlot. So in 1986 there was the first vineyard management, which occupies only 0.3 hectares in the rocky soil of the slope, where more than a hundred years, only grown olive trees. In 1999 and 2004 were planted two additional sites. As a result, the total area of ​​vineyards was 2.1 ha. Today grapes Kaberle grown only in this economy. Work in the vineyards is carried out only manually, with minimal intervention, without the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides, all sanitary procedures are natural. Podere Il Carnasciale produces only two wines - a unique, magnificent "Ile Kaberle," which is poured into bottles only "magnum" by 1.5 liters (a year - no more than 3,300 magnums) and second wine "Carnasciale", is an excellent example of the "little brother" and made with the same care as the most important wine.
