"Selene" Syrah belongs to the line of so-called "evening wines" from Cramele Recas. It embodies passion, elegance and intrigue. For production use grape variety Syrah. In order to achieve the most intense taste and aroma of the berries, part of the grapes are removed from the vine immediately after flowering. The rest of the grapes ripen in early October. The fermentation process is carried out in stainless steel tanks at a constant temperature of 28 ° C. After 14 days, half of the wine is poured into oak barrels and aged for 9 months. Wines from Recas - zone as part of the wine region of Banat in the south-west of Romania, which is part of the historical territory of Transylvania - known since time immemorial. The first official mention of the viticulture in the Banat refer to the beginning of our era, when the Romans managed to win the favor of the state is an ancient Dacia. Company Cramele Recaş launched its wines in 2006. The joint British-Romanian company during the past decade has done a great job for reorganization of its vineyards and the conversion of its production.
