"Commander" Black - Caribbean rum made in the state of Trinidad and Tobago. Rum from the island of Trinidad and Tobago is a little different from other Caribbean rums: it has a more powerful taste and aroma. Rum "Commander" Black is made by distilling fermented sugar cane juice and fermented sugar cane molasses. Exposure of rum is carried out on the islands, and bottling - in the Netherlands.

The Cooymans distillery was founded in 1828. Over the long years of its existence, the company's assortment has expanded significantly and now it offers many kinds of liquors, fruit wines, vodka, whiskey, gin and other strong drinks. Thanks to a wide range and high quality products, the company is one of the main in the Netherlands for the production of alcoholic beverages. In the production of beverages, only high-quality ingredients are used, work is carried out on the most modern equipment. Drinks are made in both traditional and modern style. At the moment the company has about 300 original recipes. In a year Койманс on the average lets out 30 million bottles. The enterprise has a certificate of quality FSSC 22000: 2011 and can produce kosher wines and liqueurs.
In July 2016, the Koimans plant became part of the Avandis Group, the Netherlands' leading beverage manufacturing and manufacturing company, which has one of Europe's most modern plants with seven advanced bottling lines.
