"Connetable de Talbot" - one of the best second wines of the Medoc. This wine was first created in the mid 60s. Mild and dry winter, wet spring and hot and dry in June 2007 caused a good flowering vines. Summer was characterized by cool, sunny and small frequent rains. Fortunately, a hot September and following it a nice warm October given the opportunity to gather the grapes of perfect ripeness. The grapes for "Connetable de Talbot" assembled by hand and was very thorough and rigorous selection sorting tables. Fermentation of wine made in wooden vats for 4200 hectoliters in stainless steel vats for 5000 hectoliters with temperature control. Maceration lasted for 3 weeks, and then the wine is aged in oak barrels, 20% of which - new. The result is a classic elegant wine with a clear structure and a long fresh finish.
Chateau Talbot is located in Saint-Julien, in the heart of the Medoc vineyards. Chateau is named after the constable Talbot, an English soldier who distinguished himself at the Battle of Castillon in 1453. In 1917, the estate of Chateau Talbot was acquired by Georges Cordier, who have made a huge contribution to the wine industry. Land estates have favorable properties for growing high quality grapes. Chateau Talbot feature is that the whole process of wine production is controlled by the digital technology, as well on the estate there are two cellars, one filled with wooden barrels, second barrels of stainless steel.
