Interesting Facts

The word "Mongris" from the name of wine Collio Pinot Grigio Mongric - the result of a merger of two words: "mono" (one grape variety) and "gris" (local designation Pinot Grigio). Pinot Grigio appeared in these parts about 150 years ago and today it is one of the most popular white grapes in the region.

Vineyards farms are located in the municipality of San Floriano at an altitude of 250 m above sea level and in the municipalities of Cormons and Farraday 'Isonzo at a height of 80 m. Marco Felluga farm located in Gradisca d'Isonzo in the region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia administrative center of Gorizia. The history of winemaking dynasty Felluga has its origins in the late 19th century in Istria, when Marco Felluga noticed the potential of these lands for cultivation of local grape varieties. In 1920 the son Marco, Giovanni, puts business in Grado, near Collio. Red wines are varieties: Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Refosco, Cabernet Sauvignon. The vineyards are located in the region of Collio Goritsiano (Collio). Fermentation takes place in wine in stainless steel containers at controlled temperatures. The winery uses the most high-tech equipment. Family Felluga respects to the ideal climate and landscape Collio, one of the first regions in Italy, which was awarded the title DOC - in 1964.
