The wine is dark ruby color.
Excellence in the composition of Merlot gives the wine body, softness and enriches the flavor notes of berries (especially blackcurrant) and Cabernet Franc adds structure and finesse.
The wine has a sweet aroma with hints of raspberry, earth and black truffles.
The wine goes well with meat dishes.

Chateau l'Evanzhil dates back to the XVIII century, when it belonged to the family Leglise and called Chateau Fazio. His real name Chateau l'Evanzhil received in the middle of the XIX century. Since 1990, the Chateau is owned by Baron Rothschild. Baron has invested heavily in the rehabilitation and reconstruction of the winery, which is a renovated, modern form was opened in 2003.
