Interesting Facts
Chateau Perrault created from the two most popular in the world of white grape varieties - Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc. Due to the peculiarities of the technology, in which the fermentation and aging of wine is carried out in stainless steel tanks, Chateau Perrault has a complex palette of taste and aroma, which gives Semillon wine seductive sweet aromas of apricot, peach and mango, and Sauvignon Blanc - fresh musky-citrus notes. Chateau Perrault - one of those wines that are best drunk young, although it can be stored for 2-3 years, while gaining a more mature and refined taste.
Producer's description
The family company Cheval Kankar was established in 1844, when Pierre Kankar founded the trading company "Kankar and Son" and, striving for excellence in everything, traveled a lot, looking for exceptional wines, and then acquired his own vineyard and seriously engaged in winemaking. Today Cheval Kankar owns the best land and Chateau in Bordeaux, and the slogan sounds like: "All the wines of Bordeaux in their diversity." Here, winemaking traditions are highly respected, but at the same time they rely on the results of modern research in the field of vine cultivation. As a result of this approach, excellent wines are born, the high quality of which has been repeatedly awarded prestigious awards.
Two sons of Pierre Kankar inherited from his father a love of winemaking. Eugene once went on a trip around the world to learn new technologies and bring fresh ideas to the family business, while his brother John, meanwhile, supported the winery created by his father. Since 1968, the family has been actively expanding its land holdings. To date, the company "Cheval Quancard" is managed by Eugene's grandson - Roland.
