Tasting Notes
Wine garnet color with a slightly orange tint.
The wine has an elegant taste with fine tannins, nice backed elegant oak, cherry liqueur and delicious notes of caramel. Full of charm finale contains tones of vanilla and oak.
The wine has a rich aroma that combines notes of old leather, cassis and earth with notes of mocha, toast and smoke.
The wine goes well with meat dishes, truffles and cheese.
Interesting Facts
Mouton Rothschild is one of the greatest chateaux in Bordeaux and, of course, is the brightest star in Pauillac, and its wines - some of the best in the world. The first Rothschild, took winemaking seriously, was Baron Philippe, although the estate was purchased in 1853 by his grandfather still Nathaniel Rothschild. It was the first Baron Philippe tried most of the technologies that are used today by all chateaux class. The main innovation of the Baron was the fact that the wines have become bottled directly at the estate, not from merchants. In addition, the processes themselves have been improved winemaking, which resulted from the Cabernet Sauvignon refinement, expressiveness, power and lifetime, almost to infinity. Baron Philippe was also the only person who was able to make changes to the approved 1855 classification of Bordeaux wines: Classification revised in 1973, and the economy has replaced its second class of well-deserved first. Even the Castle Mouton Rothschild deserves special attention because Baron Philippe and his daughter, the Philippines, which is today the owner of the chateau, many years collecting works of art related to wine. The castle houses the Museum "Wine in Art", founded in 1962. Chateau Mouton Rothschild is also famous collection of labels for their wines, which in 1945 represented creations of famous contemporary artists (on the label in 1993 - Balthus). The wine has the potential exposure to 2017, but can be drunk now.
