Chateau La Confession - a deep, full-bodied wine that delights with the first sip. It is made from grapes of Merlot (62%) and Cabernet Franc (38%), which grows on vines dating back 43 years. After harvesting, the berries are fermented, which takes place in open wooden tanks. Malolactic fermentation takes place in Allier oak barrels. Jean-Philippe Zhanueks uses drums of different shapes: 50% - traditional form of barrels, and the remaining 50% - in the form of a cigar. Thanks to a wider surface, such barrels going better assimilation of sediment. Wine is aged 15-19 months in oak barrels. The annual output of wine Chateau La Confession is only 2500 bottles.
Chateau La Confession is located on the upper plateau of Saint-Emilion on clay-limestone soils. Young winemaker Jean-Philippe Janoueix bought the estate and did everything possible to wine Chateau La Konfeson received the status of Grand Cru.
