The grapes for this wine are grown on sand and gravel soils of Pomerol, the average age of the vines is 32 years. After harvesting, the grapes are sorted and subjected to winemaking, consisting of maceration, which takes place at a controlled temperature, and fermentation. Pre-fermentation cold lasts for 8 days and is held in stainless steel tanks. Fermentation lasts for 8 days and then had read secondary fermentation, which takes place at a temperature of 15 ° C and lasts for 8 days. Wine is aged 18-20 months in oak barrels, of which 70% - new.
History of Wine House J. Arpino started in 1919 when Jean-Baptiste Arpino returned from World War I and acquired a small vineyard - just one hectare in Pomerol. Pomerol is located in Liburne - or rather, on the right bank of the Dordogne River.
