For several centuries, the castle passed from hand to hand and eventually fell into disrepair and neglect. In the XVIII century the castle was rebuilt and the historic estates were only defensive ditches. Then it was sold to the family of Clauzel, after which the vineyards fell into disrepair, and quite possibly would have disappeared if not bought Chateau Sitran brothers Miailhe. After that, the vineyards were revived, and the winery has returned to its former glory. Today belongs to the Chateau Sitran well-known family in the Medoc Merlot-Villars, also the owner of Chateau Chasse-Spleen, Chateau La Gurgue and other Bordeaux Chateau.
