"Bricco dell'Uccellone" - a very popular wine, also known as the first wine of the Italian varieties Barbera. The wine has an excellent aging potential - at least 10 years of age. The name of the wine "Uccellone" translated literally means "big bird". According to legend, in a vineyard once stood the house in which lived an old woman. She often stood on the balcony of his villa and watched District. She was dressed all in black and looked like a bird, so she was given the nickname "uccellone". This name vineyards and wine farms gave the owner Giacomo Bologna. "Bricco del Uchchellone" is created from the harvest from the vineyard "Uchchellone" - one of the best in Rocchetta Tanaro (Asti). Thanks to the care of plants and aging in small French barriques, Bologna was able to shake the wine world, creating a rich and complex wines from varieties that were previously considered only subsidiary.
