Wine rich ruby color with a purple hue.
The wine has a balanced, elegant, fresh taste, rich shades of milk chocolate, with fine tannins and a gentle finale apple aftertaste. Excellent potential for aging.
The wine has a delicate, complex aroma with notes of blackberries, currants, minerals and hints of vanilla.
The wine goes well with dishes of dark meat (lamb, beef), fried or stewed game (dove, pheasant).

For the production of "Il Blu" crop is harvested from two vineyards: "Brankayya" in Castellina in Chianti and "Poppy" in Radda in Chianti, located at an altitude of 230-400 meters above sea level. Vineyards with a total area of 24 hectares, grown on poor, rocky soils containing clay and limestone are the southern, south-western and south-eastern exposure. Stocking density - 6000 vines / ha. The grapes are harvested by hand in September and early October. Alcoholic fermentation and maceration are carried out at a temperature of 30-32 ° C in a temperature-controlled steel tanks for 20 days. Part of the must is fermented in oak barriques. Wine kept for 20 months in oak barrels, of which 2/3 - new, third - the second year of use. After bottling, the wine is left to ripen further 4 months in the cellars of the economy. Wine storage capacity is 15-20 years.
