Tasting Notes
Beer is a deep black color.
The taste of beer a rich, creamy, velvety, with bright chocolate tones, notes of coffee, toffee, oatmeal, which is well balanced with the bitterness of hops.
The aroma of beer palpable tone of dark chocolate and roasted coffee, the nuances of caramel, vanilla and nuts.
Beer goes well with the French onion soup, pork, roast lamb, smoked meats, beans, chocolate desserts, cheesecake, panna cotta, cheese (smoked Gouda, Havarti).
Interesting Facts
Anderson Valley, Barney Flats Oatmeal Stout - one of the richest and most complex oatmeal stouts, existing on the market. Stout is made of two types of hops (Columbus, North brewer) and six malts (pale-row, Crystal, Munich, chocolate, roasted barley and oats). Rich, velvety, rich taste of the beer is filled with intense bitterish chocolate and coffee tones are perfectly balanced with strong but subtle hoppy notes.
Producer's description
The increase in production has once again demanded the expansion of space, so in 1998 construction began on the current three-storey brewhouse in the Bavarian style. The central workshop were installed copper cookers, rescued from two now defunct German breweries, imported from Germany in 1995. The launch took place at the brewery 2000. Since then, brewers Anderson Valley in excellent conditions conjure to create a well-balanced, complex ales and lagers. Varietal range brewery expanded sour beers aged in barrels, as well as a series of ales "Barl", which became the result of an exclusive partnership with Wild Turkey Bourbon.
