Tasting Notes


The wine has a deep, rich red color with purple highlights.


The taste of wine is rich and full, perfectly balanced, with good volume, tones of ripe fruit, a long and persistent finish.

Collection called "Altum" - a collection of fine wines created from grapes from only one vineyard. Each of the collection of wines made from selected grapes grown in a particular area, and it reflects the characteristics of the neighborhood. The name "Altum" originates from the Latin word "Altum", meaning "sublime", "outstanding."

Wine "Altum" Cabernet Sauvignon is made ​​from grapes harvested in the vineyard "Block 16" in Curico Valley, located on the hillside. The unique climate with mild ocean breezes, good soil and a sufficiently large temperature fluctuations between day and night leads to the fact that Cabernet Sauvignon in these places get darker in color and more mature tannins. Average age of vines is from 50 to 60 years, the yield of each rod - about 1.4 kg. At the beginning of the production of grapes waiting for a 5-7 day cold maceration, then - maceration for 30 days, fermentation at 28 ° C with five irrigations caps per day and malolactic fermentation in barrels. The wine is aged 15 months in new French oak barrels and before bottling is not filtered.

2010 distinguished high temperature during the growing season, leading to an earlier harvest by approximately one week. Grapes showed perfect balance, ripe tannins and very good health. In 1996, three older sisters Canepa - Gilda, Edda and Antonieta - realize their dream by opening a new winery TerraMater.
