"Rocca Guicciarda" - representative of reserve wines of Chianti Classico, features simple character, a rich elegant taste, intoxicating aroma and smooth texture.
The 2009 season characterized good climatic conditions. After a mild winter came cold spring, the temperature is gradually stabilized, and in May even exceed 30 ° C. Abundant rainfall in winter and spring, had a good supply of water, which enabled the plants to go through all the vegetative stage in time. Despite the sharp increase in temperature in July and August, heavy rains in mid-September and a significant decrease in temperature allowed the grapes to achieve optimum phenolic maturity. Sangiovese, which dominates the blend of wine, came to the winery healthy, mature, with intense color and good sugar content. Winery berries underwent fermentation at 24-27 ° C and maceration for 16 days, after which the wine is matured for 15 months in oak barriques and large casks (ton). At the peak of ripeness wine will be between 2012-2022 years.

Ricasoli family has ancient roots and is the fourth oldest in the world of family businesses. It is also the oldest company in Italy - Ricasoli family owns the castle Castello di Brolio with 1141.
