Tasting Notes


The wine has a pale lemon-yellow color with greenish reflections.


The taste of wine is fresh, pleasant, with a slight acidity, well balanced, with a long fruity finish.


The wine has an intense aroma with notes of apples and pineapples on a background of light citrus notes.


Wine is the perfect accompaniment for foie gras, blue cheese, grilled fish, grilled meat.

Wine "Kraliner" Seko created the most popular in this region grapes. Macabeo (in other regions of Spain it is called Viura) in this climate gives excellent yields and is ideal for the production of Cava, especially in limiting yields. Charello (in the name of the class set of synonyms depending on the region - Cartoixa, Pansa Blanca, Pansal, Pansalet) used for the production of cava and table wines. Sort Parelyada grown in two versions. One clone grapes gives a golden color, the second - green. In Penedes this variety gives the best yields in the vineyards situated above 200 meters above sea level, where it is not so hot. Rene Barbier winery is not by chance that the French name - its founder, Leon Barbier, at the end of the XIX century came in the Penedes from Avignon, where his vineyards were completely destroyed by phylloxera. Leon Barbier decided to start over in Spain and chose the Penedes region of Catalonia, on the Mediterranean coast. Thus Barbier applied his knowledge and traditions of French wine in terms of climate and soil of Catalonia.
