Red wine "Lavignone" made from Barbera grapes grown in the vineyards of the region of Asti. The grapes are harvested at optimum ripeness degree, gently pressed and was macerated for 10-12 days. The wine is aged in stainless steel vats for 9 months, and a few months in bottles in the cellar of the winery.
Pico Maccario winery founded by two brothers - Pico and Vitaliano Maccario, known for its high-quality wines "Barbera" from Piedmont. They invest heavily in the modernization of production, new equipment, expansion of vineyards and the study of old and new clones of different varieties.
Pico Maccario vineyards are located in the hills of Asti DOCG in Mombaruzzo at an altitude of 180 meters above sea level. It is the largest vineyard in the Piedmont area of 70 hectares, of which 55 hectares are given under the variety Barbera. Around the vineyard is planted with red roses, so it is not surprising that the rose is part of the emblem of the winery.
