Interesting Facts

Château Cheval Blanc is one of the best wines of Bordeaux and has a unique style. The history of the manor begins with 1832, when representatives of the family Ducasse purchased the first part of what is now called the Château Cheval Blanc. Later, in 1838, was acquired additional land with vineyards at the same the owner, Countess Felicity. From the moment when the Château Cheval Blanc was the property of Bernard Arnault (Bernard Arnaud) and Albert Frere (Albert Frere), it is considered one of the most exotic and unique representatives of the great wines of Bordeaux. This wine with the divine constitution. All its components - fruity, full-bodied taste, silky texture, velvety tannins, endless aftertaste and dazzling flavors - are arranged in an incredible harmony. Among the great wines it is one of the few that incorporates a high content of Cabernet Franc. But, oddly enough, this variety reaches its zenith in the gravel-sand-clay soil Cheval Blanc, which backs the formation of iron-rich rocks, giving an extremely rich, ripe, intense, viscous wine. Cheval Blanc may not have such a large storage capacity in comparison with other members of the "Big Eight" Bordeaux, but it compares favorably with its price.
Le Petit Cheval - the second, the "younger" wine Château Cheval Blanc. Wine requires soaking for about 10 years. Soil vineyard wine - gravel, sand and clay; clay subsoil, sometimes with the inclusion of iron species. Age of vines - an average of 38 years. Manual harvesting.
