Whiskey "Glenburgie", 10 Years Old is made on the same distillery in Speyside. Due to aging alcohol distillation in oak barrels of sherry for 10 years drink bought a beautiful brown-golden color. Whisky has an exquisite fruity aroma and sweet flavor with unsurpassed admixture of spices. To date, single malt "Glenburgi" is quite rare and bottled only two manufacturers - Duncan Taylor and Gordon & MacPhail.
Glenburgi distillery, located in the beautiful Speyside overlooking the Bay Moray Firth, originally called Kilnflat and was built by William Paul back in 1810, but the production of whiskey are started only after 20 years. In 1870, the distillery, located near the castle Burgie XVI century, was closed, and only in 1878 under the leadership of Charles Hay had already resumed production with the name Glenburgie. In 1936, the plant became the property of Hiram Walker, who in 1958 established two distillation cube Lomond for the production of whiskey "Glen Craig". However, innovation is not stuck, and in 1981 replaced the traditional distillers. In 2004, while under the leadership of Allied Lyons, the distillery passed a complete redesign. After taking possession of the distillery in 2006, the company Chivas Brothers has established two additional distillation of the cube, which increased the plant's capacity to 4.2 million liters of alcohol per year.
May 24, 1895, James Gordon and John Alexander McPhail announced the opening of its store on South Street in Elgin, which offers customers a wide selection of food, a lot of varieties of tea, as well as a rich assortment of wines and spirits. But from the very beginning has been the main thrust of whiskey. Ready malt whiskey or bought at the leading factories in Scotland, whiskey is bottled with its own label and distributed in the local market. Later it was bought by an export license.
