Freixenet Cava Cordon Negro - one of the most popular sparkling wines in the world, perfect for any occasion. Cordon Negro is made of a mixture of three Spanish white grape varieties - Macabeo, Sharel-Lo and Parelyada. Macabeo saturates wine color, fruity aroma and medium-high acidity - characteristics that are crucial for the production of sparkling wine. Sharel Lo gives reliable acidity and contributes to power and depth. Parelyada is the star of all sparkling wines, giving them a unique freshness. Put together, these varieties are composed in a nice, fruity and refined Cordon Negro. Wine is produced by Champenoise, passing through two fermentation, where the secondary fermentation takes place in the bottle. Cava Cordon Negro Freshenet kept in the basement of up to twelve months.
Freixenet company was founded in 1889 after Pedro Ferrer Bosch, owner of the vineyard "La Freixeneda" married Dolores Sala Vive, heiress of the wine trade house with a 200-year history of "Sala". Freshenet is one of the largest and oldest manufacturers of sparkling wine from Spain, which exports its products to more than 120 countries worldwide.
