Fergus - is the name of the neighbor - a winemaker whose vineyards are located near the vineyards Tim Adams. Very poor harvest of Shiraz and Cabernet in 1993 prompted him to seek additional sources, but this time decided to sell his Fergus grenache. Tim Adams innate intuition told him that this is a fragrant, soft and full-bodied wine, "Fergus", underlined spicy Grenache, doomed to great success.
The Fergus Wine is produced by fermentation on pulp during one week. After that, the wine is placed for a few months in the barrel of an old American oak. The wine remains in oak barrels for 18 months until further assemblage, clarification and filtration. Then it is bottled. Wine passes cold stabilization, in the bottle can therefore harmless crystalline precipitate formed. Wine storage capacity of 8-10 years.
Wine Tim Adams Fergus in 2006 won a gold medal in the competition International Wine and Spirits Competition in 2009, as well as 93 points from Jeremy Oliver.
