The taste of port wine is strict and elegant, intense and powerful. The finish is complex, long and elegant, with a pleasant and fresh acidity, orange tones and nuances of spices.
The aromatic bouquet of port wine is incredibly deep and complex, characterized by the presence of citrus shades, nuances of exotic resins, honey and almond nut.
Wine is perfect as an aperitif. Also suitable for foie gras, a variety of snacks, smoked salmon and ham, almond cake.
To create a port "Dalva" 20 Years Old Dry White, the producer uses a blend of the following grape varieties: Malvasia Fina, Viozino, Donzelinho Branco and Gouveio. After pressing, the wort is subjected to alcoholic fermentation in steel tanks at low temperatures, after which on the third day aguardente is added to the port. Wine kept in very old oak barrels for 20 years. Wine storage capacity is several years subject to certain conditions. Port recommended to store upright in a dark place.
In 1933, Clemente da Silva came to Portugal, filled with dreams of creating his own wine-making business. While looking for a place to invest, he decided to buy a company that produces port from his wife’s family. This company was founded in 1862 by the Ribeira family under the name Correa Ribeiro e Filhos and was a regular supplier of port wines to the Portuguese Royal House. Between 1933 and 1957, Clement significantly expanded his business. From the start, da Silva wanted to develop an export business. He took his first steps in the markets of Brazil and North America, after which the doors to Europe and Asia opened for him. The quality of C. da Silva wines is internationally recognized.
