Wine Chapoutier, Ermitage "L'Ermite" AOC, 2017
The wine is dark garnet, almost black in color.
A full-bodied wine has a powerful, full-bodied taste with expressive velvety tannins. This wine perfectly expresses the full potential of Syrah in the land of the Hermitage.
The refined aroma of wine woven shades of black fruit and spicy nuances of spices on a background of smoke and pepper.
The wine will perfectly complement the beef ribs with chanterelles, roast venison in juice, wild boar stew.
Vineyards with vines Syrah at the top of the hill Hermitage, near the chapel, at a place called "L'Ermite" - "Hermit". The name "Hermitage" probably first appeared in the XVII century in memory of Henry Gaspare, Knight of Sterimberg, who, after returning from the Crusades XIII-th century, tired of waging war, he lived as a hermit (hermite) on the side, which gave him Kastilliyskaya Anna, Queen of Spain. Here he planted the first vineyards. The soils are poor, granite. Very old vines, aged up to 80 years. Harvested by hand only very late. Cyr vinified in cement tanks. Maceration lasts from 5 to 6 weeks. Fermentation temperature does not exceed 32 ° C to facilitate the extraction of high natural characteristics. After fermentation and malolactic fermentation, the wine immediately placed in new oak barrels for aging from 14 to 18 months. The wine is not filtered.
