Crop harvested in several stages. Vintage 2008 was recognized as excellent. Throughout the time of harvest was perfect weather without the high humidity, the grapes arrived at the winery perfectly healthy and mature. Fermentation on the skins at a temperature of 24-27 ° C lasted 12-18 days, after which the wine is aged 18 months in new oak barrels (ton) and barriques. Bottling took place on 15 and 16 June 2010.

Ricasoli family has ancient roots and is the fourth oldest in the world of family businesses. It is also the oldest company in Italy, the family owns the castle Ricasoli Castello di Brolio with 1141.
