Tasting Notes

The color of whiskey - pale straw.

Whisky has a refined taste with hints of toasted malt, hints of orange peel, apple and grapefruit.

The aroma of whiskey felt tones of green apple, lime and crispy pastry. Unusual bouquet of delicate nuances of chocolate making.

Whisky is great as a digestif. You can supplement it with a good cigar, ice or used as an ingredient for cocktails.

Interesting Facts

Aberfeldy distillery was built in 1898 in the heart of Scotland. Company-owner John Dewar & Sons was immediately placed and began to implement the task of production of single malt whiskey in large quantities. Whiskey quickly became popular, but due to disruptions in the supply of barley during the first, and later the Second World War, production was stopped several times, and was subsequently sold to United Distillers. In 1998, John Dewar & Sons bought the distillery back and began to produce both single malt and blended whiskey. One feature of the distillery is that used in the production of only Scottish water, and barley malt. In 2000, the company opened a distillery at the center of "Dewar's World of Whisky". In the center conducts a tour of the production process and the history of the brand of whiskey Dewar's.

Whisky Aberfeldy, 1999 released under the label "Connoisseur's Choice", which is well known among connoisseurs of whiskey. Under this label, single malt whiskey produced, manufactured at the little-known distilleries, facing the threat of closure and disappearance. From 1980 to 1995, in Scotland was closed 29 distilleries, some of which are entirely ceased to exist, as some only temporarily suspended their work. The reasons for closing are different, but it would be a pity if the whiskey produced in these distilleries, was lost forever. Each of these hard liquor has its own unique properties that could never be obtained with production at any other distillery. It is for this reason, Gordon and McPhail for many years bought up in bulk malt from little-known distilleries, thus saving them from closing. All made of whiskey and thus began to be issued under the label "Connoisseur's Choice".
